My Students

My students are determined, energetic learners with a passion to explore and grow. Despite the hardships they face, my students walk into the classroom each day with big smiles ready to learn!

My school is an inner-city school with 100% of students receiving free breakfast and lunch.

Many students live in poverty, struggle with the English language and have extremely limited resources. Some of my students are homeless or in foster care. Others are new to the country, while some live with a caretaker other than their parent.

My Project

My classroom has no windows because it is located in the lower corner of the building. The lack of windows becomes a problem when we are using the projector and interactive whiteboard. In order to see what is being projected on the screen, the lights must be shut off. When I shut the lights off in my classroom, it's completely dark due to the lack of natural light.

Having a lamp in my classroom will allow us to have some light when using the projector.

This addition to my classroom will be a big help to my students.
