Help me give my students the tools (markers, chart paper, crayons, and paper) we need to aid us in getting our work done, and creating anchor charts they are able to use during work time!
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My students are an extremely diverse bunch. We are focusing hard on writing our letters and our numbers. My classroom is lacking materials that we need for everyday use- we could use more plain paper, crayons, pencils, and markers. My kids are used to sharing a large amount of their materials and doing simple tasks takes us a lot longer when they are waiting for materials. I also want to be able to create anchor charts that capture their attention!
My Project
We currently do not have any plain paper or anchor chart paper in our classroom. Students are sharing small containers of crayons, and it takes longer to get our work done because of it. I would love to be able to have a set of crayons for every student, and plain paper for us to use during our instructional time. I also want to be able to create visually interesting and accurate anchor charts. Right now we are just using 8.5x11 grey paper for these and students cannot see the charts from their own seats. All of these tools will help with direct instruction and individual work!
