Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students live in a very high poverty area. Many students do not have the best home environments, but that doesn't stop them from being the enthusiastic, curious, and motivated learners that they are. We are experiencing unprecedented times due to COVID-19. This upcoming school year presents even more challenges than ever before.

My Project

These headphones will make such a difference in my students' learning. They have been struggling taking assessments, as well as completing their work online due to everyone's computers paying aloud at the same times. Some students need accommodations for tests, while other students need grade level books read to them. These headphones won't only make a difference at school, but also at home where students face multiple distractions from televisions to siblings completing work too.

As of right now, my students have been sharing headphones and although they are doing great with sharing, I would LOVE to gift them with a pair of headphones of their own.
