My 3rd grade students are loving individuals that have curious minds. They support and appreciate one another. These children are always eager to learn more and absolutely LOVE hands-on activities.
They are open-minded and believe that they can do challenging things.
From August until now I have seen my students evolve into confident risk-takers within the classroom. This is my first year teaching and I feel beyond blessed to be able to teach such amazing students every day. They are truly my inspiration!
Mornings can be hard for anybody... especially for 3rd graders. Usually students are expected to come in, unpack, write down their homework, eat breakfast and get straight into their morning work.
But YOU can help excite my students to want to come to school everyday!!!
If you could improve someone's day, wouldn't you?
I would LOVE to implement Morning Choice to help make each morning start a little bit brighter. Morning Choice grants each student the freedom to choose what they would like to engage with (such as building blocks, LEGOs, pattern blocks, puzzles and art supplies). Through exploration and collaboration, each child will have the opportunity to create what sparks their imagination, thus strengthening their individuality and our classroom community.
Replacing morning work with morning choice will help relieve some stress for those students that are running late or absent because they won't have to worry about making it up.
Being a first year teacher, this idea is something that I am truly passionate about implementing. However, it is very expensive to supply my children with the engaging activities that I know they will love and, most importantly, need.
Your generosity would lighten the lives of many young learners. Any donation amount is greatly appreciated.
