My Students

My students are active learners. They learn best by being up and moving about the room. We are often balancing movement with our academics. Students are often curious and have many questions as we learn. Hearing their small voices can be a challenge. I want all students to feel and be heard by their classmates. They need to know that their thoughts and ideas are important. This truly helps to build empathetic, caring listeners and classroom citizens. After 22 years of teaching, I believe a caring, active, nurturing environment is best for all learners.

My Project

The Qball is an effective tool in classroom. Studies have shown that a child’s cognitive auditory processing is not fully developed until age 15. In order to comprehend speech clearly, they need to hear at more than 2X the level of the average adult!

The Qball will help to ensure that all students can be heard clearly, especially those who tend to be shy or soft spoken.

My students are active learners who are busy moving about the room as we learn. This would help them to feel and be heard. The Qball would enhance my students learning and greatly impact their engagement and investment into their own learning.
