Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

I have the pleasure of teaching 16 students. They love learning new things and enjoy being at school. We are constantly working together to create an environment that is loving, kind, and hard-working. My students are always wanting to help each other and their teacher. I feel that speaks a lot about their character because they are constantly putting other people first. My students are learning how to share, work together, learn together, and talk through their problems. They are doing a great job for being five and six years old.

My Project

The only place the students have a seat is at their desks. I am slowly in the process of bringing in tables, stools, and other seating areas for the students to sit and learn at. The desks take up SO much room, it is hard to move about the room and make room for the students to rotate for centers. With the table and desk stands, the students can work on the floor or at the table with something comfortable to complete their task! I love how the boards have room for two people, the ability to become a dry erase board, and is magnetic. The ways they can be used are endless!
