My Project

Each month, I hold specially-themed lunches for upperclassmen. At these lunches, we discuss issues of concern for students. Some of our past topics include: academic equity, intersectionality and women's rights.

We would like to order lunch from Phil's Chicken House for an upcoming meeting.

The lunch will include: chicken, salad, potatoes and beans. Phil's is a family run, local business that students and families love.

These lunch meetings give students a chance to speak up for what they believe in. When students feel empowered, they accomplish more. They also start to see the world as a place in which they can affect change. This new empowerment in turn leads to better classroom performance.

Please help me to help my students. This lunch will accommodate 15 students. Special guests will include the building principal and the district superintendent.
