My 4 and 5-year-old students are a part of a full-day preschool classroom. Most of the students I serve come from low-income families and benefit from fun, hands-on activities to stimulate their growth.
My students are thoughtful, creative, and full of potential to learn and grow!
The school district I work in is fully remote because of covid-19. It has been a challenge, as a teacher, to make sure my students have the hands-on materials they need in order to push their learning to the next level and prepare them for kindergarten. My students have a variety of disabilities that range from speech and language, cognitive, and fine or gross motor needs. It's amazing to see the progress and growth my students can achieve when given the right materials to stimulate their growth. They are truly inspirational!
These craft materials will enhance my students' creativity during remote learning. It is crucial that preschool students be provided with hands-on materials to enhance their development and skill levels. My students are all 4 or 5 years old and my job is to prepare them for kindergarten. Remote learning has been a challenge because they do not have access to being in a classroom setting and having materials at their fingertips.
By funding this project, my students will be given the gift of creativity as well as develop fine motor skills, two skills which are an important part of their development!
During these difficult times, I am trying to do all I can for my students to ensure they are successful learners. These art materials will greatly benefit my students by improving their development with fine motor, creativity, language, math, and literacy.
Please consider donating to our wonderful project. These art materials will significantly enrich my students' experiences in our new remote learning world.
