Feeling the eerie chilly winds as the winter months are quickly approaching? Let our students knit for our local senior citizens for winter 2013!
Many of our students come from low-income and immigrant family backgrounds, so they support each other through forming close-knit bonds with friends and peers around them.
After learning how to croquet last year, our students are well prepared to take on the basics of knitting! They are very enthusiastic about being able to give back to the community through their efforts and very own hands.
My Project
By having the supplies needed for our knitting project, needles, yarn and an instruction book, our students will not only learn how to knit, but also create lasting bonds and friendships through this group effort. By knitting for our local seniors, students can develop a sense of community. Not only do we need to care about ourselves, but also the people around us.
In these cold winter months may our students let the world know that through giving, we can inspire a little warmth in each others hearts.
Giving can be selfless and creates happiness. We hope to influence others to do the same. Please help us deliver our student's warmth and love to our seniors this season!
