This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My second graders have creative, colorful personalities, and I think their classroom experience should be filled with as much creativity and color as they are. They love to dive into a good book, solve a tough math problem, investigate a new science topic, and get outside and move their bodies.

Now I just need the technology to keep up with them :)

My Project

With the introduction of this requested document camera, my students will be able to see what I am writing more easily and quickly than my current method - holding up a small whiteboard. I will be able to model instruction, gather their responses, and present images in a clearer, easier way.

This amazing resource will provide my students with a learning experience that is fluid and more familiar to that of our traditional classroom.

We will be able to see math manipulatives more easily, read books and actually see the pictures, share in the writing process, and even play learning games!
