7th grade students are curious about the world they live in, and they want to know how things work. I hear people say that they are self-absorbed, and they don't know how to communicate, but I see the opposite is true on a daily basis.
Today's adolescents communicate differently than previous generations, but they are still deeply connected to each other.
One of the goals for our class is teaching students how to use the proliferation of technology in a purposeful and responsible way. Students build on their writing and presentation skills, learn how to conduct research from reliable and relevant resources, and collaborate with peers to create meaningful projects.
My Project
The Ladibug USB/HD document camera is high quality. It will allow me to clearly model certain tasks as I teach students, especially in terms of writing. Being able to show students examples of how to revise an actual piece of writing in process is invaluable. When I project what I'm doing, all students can be working on the same task and referring to my version for guidance.
Many students understand concepts best when they can see them in action, thus making their learning more meaningful.
By using the Ladibug USB/HD document camera, I will be able to help my students see concrete examples that will improve their performance on tasks.
