Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I have an incredible group of kids this year. They have such kind hearts and are so eager to learn about the world. My kids with disabilities treat everyone with respect, work hard, and are always happy which are qualities I wish regular students would show. An Ipad will empower them.
My awesome group of students attend a public high school that has a technology shortage.
So sadly, many students do not get a chance to use it. This iPad will provide real world experiences and knowledge that will affect their lives forever! Being in the 21st century, one needs the knowledge of technology and with all the apps that already exist, it will be a shame to not be able to use them in the classroom.
My Project
There are wonderful Apps out there with programs to teach letter recognition, state and world interactive maps, capitals, history facts, and matching pictures. I will have the ability to work better with them one on one. Using the pad will give students an interactive surface in which to communicate their needs, wants, and give them a voice in the classroom.
Every student deserves to shine in this world.
I want to give everything I can to help my students to learn because I have a passion for my Special Education students and they DESERVE every other opportunity. In other classrooms, students are encouraged to use technology to further projects and I just want to be able to give this to my students on a daily basis. It will be used purely for educational purposes to give my students a voice in their education.
