Can you imagine walking into a classroom and seeing students reading, writing and speaking in Spanish? Children who can hold conversations with you in two languages? Who can say “Good morning” and “Buenos días” all at the same time? This is my classroom! This is our dual immersion classroom!
I have 25 second-graders who are eager to learn in both languages, who are always wanting to know the Spanish and English “way.” I have one of the most incredible, eager to learn students, who always strive to do their best, and who are trying to do amazing things.
My Project
The resources on this project vary from flexible seating, to phonics, to physical education equipment.
My students need from various resources to be able to thrive in our classroom!
My students like to work differently and many like to sit while others like to lay on the carpet and sit on wobbly chairs. I want to give my students the ability to be comfortable as they learn. That is why, it would be incredibly useful to have these cushions for them in our class. They would be comfortable and would love to learn this way.
The physical education equipment is needed because we currently do not have many things to play and use during physical education. This equipment would benefit all my students to get up and play and have fun while they are outside!
Finally, we need to develop our phonics, reading skills and math skills. In order to do so, we need to have different resources that students can have access to when they want to learn and enhance their learning even more.
