Help me give my students a great science experiment with a light table. The activities and learning experiences are endless and encourage a range of skills and development such as fine motor development and hand and eye coordination.
At Head Start, we offer a full range of academic services that foster children's individual growth and development. The students are creative, eager to learn, and absolutely love active, engaging projects and challenges. They come to school each day ready to learn new things. These children come from low income families sometimes dealing with their own struggles from out of school. Head Start is a safe place for them to be their unique self and to learn to be successful with the support of their teachers.
These preschoolers deserve a great opportunity to learn and thrive in school.
Each child in my classroom absolutely loves learning through hands-on experiences and are always looking for new challenges every day. When they are successful in any task or challenge their smiles glow as bright as the moon. They are an inspiration!
My Project
The possibilities for playing and learning with a light table in the classroom are endless! A light table can be used to enhance literacy, math, and writing skills in fun and playful ways. Kids are naturally drawn to the gentle glow of the light table and will stay there for long periods of time, which is great for stretching those budding attention spans. It can also help with sensory play and even benefits during quiet or rest time.
The light table can be used for everything from open-ended play experiences to arts and crafts, to teaching academic concepts, and more!
With opportunities for science, math, literacy, and writing it quickly becomes a powerhouse of learning.
