Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are inquisitive, kind, loving, and full of energy. They love to play, to learn, and to follow along and participate as we read. They are ready to conquer their learning path.
They are such special little souls with so much potential!
Kiddos love learning about the world around them! I remember a student very proudly identifying the “chrysalis” stage as we were recounting the life cycle of the butterfly, or their genuine interest in learning how other countries are different than us.
My Project
"Art encourages children to think, develop skills and confidence as they grow" -Mary Ann Kohl
Every child is an artist who deserves the tools to express and let that inner artist out.
Art is such an important part of a child's development. Using paint to express emotions is proven to help them understand emotions and us understand them. Children deserve a fully equipped art space. Somewhere they can feel comfortable and know they have everything they need or want for their special project. My goal is to help my students express themselves through art. Give them a fully functioning art center to express their creativity.
An easel, different texture brushes, a drying rack, and other items to enrich their space. Developing social-emotional skills, appreciation for art, a connection to their imagination, and many, many other benefits they can take from it.
