This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My sixth-grade students at FMS are very motivated and excited about this school year! They take pride in their school. This group of students is very creative, curious, and driven. I am so proud of the initiative that they have taken in becoming leaders of their own learning and wanting to hone skills and techniques that they know will prepare them to be college and career ready. They absolutely love learning! I am extremely grateful to teach such a wonderful group of students this year.
My Project
Each of my students is on a different learning level. It is imperative that each student has materials for his or her own individual learning level. However, as I meet each individualized students' level, I want them to feel as if he or she is no different than anyone else. The bookbinding materials that I am requesting will allow students to receive individualized materials in the same format as the entire class.
The paper will be used to copy a wide variety of individual materials for individual students.
The cardstock will be used to create sections for different levels of materials as the student body grows. Finally, the bookbinding machine will be used to combine these materials into one book. Students will be given their individual booklets and allowed to work at his or her own individual pace.
