These kids are full of spirit and zest for life! They love making and sharing artwork with each other in class, in the halls, and online. Our classes together always fly by too fast and we have so much fun creating art together!
Each and every one of my students is an artist with a passion to create!
My Project
The shared music/art room moved from a modular building behind our school to a classroom inside the school at the beginning of this school year. An added bonus of the move: there is a sink in the room! There are many benefits to being inside the main building, but one disadvantage is that there are no storage shelves in the room deeper than 14" making storage of posters, student artwork, project exemplars, and large paper, nearly impossible. Right now I'm making it work with various piles on tables, but this strategy will not work once students are back in the classroom.
This flat file storage system will provide safe, respectable storage for artwork and supplies, helping to create a space which is more conducive to learning and creativity.
It is impossible for me to purchase this or something similar because of the yearly budget for art. If I spent zero dollars on art supplies for 7 years, I would not be able to afford this flat file cabinet. Please help me show the students that art, their art in particular, is deserving of respectable storage and organization.
