Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

My students are eager to learn. They live in low socioeconomic neighborhoods. Some of my students live with grandparents or other family members and some live in shelters. Our school is Title I with one hundred percent of our students receiving free lunch. Our students have a lot of potential that needs to be nurtured to be realized. We impress upon our students that daily attendance is necessary to keep up with the instruction. Our teachers work hard to make sure that each child receives what they need in a timely manner in order to succeed.

My Project

A new laptop would be used to run the day to day curriculum planning, my Teams Classroom, resource sharing, and provide feedback. I was unable to help my students the way I wanted to today because my laptop stopped working.

A laptop will really help my digital classroom run.

I will be able to continue helping my students with their work in a meaningful way. My students are currently working on problem based learning activities. A new laptop will help with their Teams assignments as we continue to learn virtually.
