My Students

Our elementary students grow and learn at a Pre K-5 rural elementary school. Being in a rural community, we would like to bring opportunities that they may not be exposed to otherwise. They are wonderful children who are eager to expand their experiences and minds. We are partners in our journey through the years they spend with us.

Being a part of their journey, I have learned from my many years of teaching that students need to be connected to what they are learning.

My Project

We have some wonderful technology that will enable my students to code while creating music. My students need the earbuds so that they can listen and create their masterpieces while not disturbing their classmates. They will be using the earbuds during their small math group time. Through coding and composing music, my students will be working on patterns, problem solving, and logical/ critical thinking while they are engaged in game play. In the end, they will be able to share their musical composition with their families and friends.
