I will see approximately 350 K-6th grade students throughout the school year. These students will come to the STEM classroom 2 times a week for 45 minute sessions. We are a Title I school that has almost 90% free and reduced priced lunch rate. I have students that have been affected by the Flint Water Crisis. Even though my students have many socioeconomic hardships against them, they persevere. They come to school wanting to learn and to be better every day. My students love to learn through collaboration. They are eager to learn and to challenge themselves. My students are caring and work well together.

My Project
James May said, "Someone once told me that I was 12 inside. The only thing 12-year-olds crave is more Lego. Lego is fun; it's therapeutic. It's a beautiful sensation when you click the pieces together." He is so correct! LEGOs are a great way for students to develop their fine motor skills. By using LEGOs in the classroom, students' thinking skills will develop and improve. The students will develop thinking skills by using the LEGOs to build new things.
Students will create with their heart and build with their mind.
My students have a LEGO wall and now need to add some more LEGOs so that their creative hearts can explode into building projects on the wall and all over the room.
