My Project

My 5th graders absolutely love LEGOs. They love using them to build something from their imagination or from challenge cards. We have used LEGOs for STEM projects and following directions. The kids enjoy seeing what they can create with only red blocks or using only 12 blocks. It takes planning and the ability to rethink a plan. The students can also use the LEGOSs for indoor recess so that they aren't having screen time. LEGO building gives them the opportunity to explain what they have built and practices public speaking. All in all, LEGOs can make a huge impact for kids.
