Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students love to learn, and they are BUSY, BUSY, BUSY! For most of them, Pre-Kindergarten is their first school experience. They come from a variety of cultures and backgrounds and speak many different languages. For that reason, many of them are learning English for the first time in school.
Like most four-year-olds, they love to move, play, and learn all day long.
What may sometimes seem like chaos is just a whole lot of learning. Watch us explore and grow!
My Project
I recently attended a workshop to introduce the world of Lego Education. I learned that the possibilities are endless! I hope to create a Lego learning station in the Primary STEM lab that is connected to the Pre-K classroom and is shared by the entire Kindergarten team.
Lego brings an endless possibility to learning through play.
As the children build they use critical thinking skills, math and probability. They develop vocabulary and team building skills while working together. Imagination is used naturally and children learn by making a creating.
Help us transform learning in our STEM lab with Lego Education.
