Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

Our children are Pre-K, special needs students. Our students are previously and recently diagnosed with a disability and will begin receiving the services they need in their new learning environment. The students are eager to learn, build, and explore.

Our children have a wide range of unique talents and abilities that highlight the unique individuals they are, from asking engaging questions to sharing their life experiences!

They are such a joy, and we love each of them. You will not be disappointed by supporting this wonderful group of children.

My Project

Legos are an amazing tool to help students be creative and strengthen their social/emotional development. With these Legos our students can explore the world of entrepreneurship as they become business owners of their own cafe'! They will develop their skills as sandwich crafters, cake decorators, and sweet treat makers. We will also hone in on counting and finances as our students exchange money.

The Build Me "Emotions" set will enhance social/emotional development by helping our students identify their own feelings and the feelings of their peers.

This will give us the space to talk about emotions during whole group and help the students practice this skill independently and during small group centers.

These Lego Education resources will help our students build relationships and show empathy as they work together to build their cafe' and discuss how they are feeling. Thank you in advance for supporting this project!
