My students include every child in the school! All children come to the library media center once per week. We serve children from diverse backgrounds and with a wide range of abilities. They range in age from 5-12 and are either in traditional classroom settings or therapeutic classrooms. Helping children from the therapeutic classrooms engage with their peers is an important goal for this project. Using lego is something all students enjoy and allows for great freedom in expressing emotions and enjoying positive collaborative peer interactions.
My Project
These lego supplies will help to elevate our maker space to the next level.
Currently we have just a few lego that I have brought in from home.
By supplying the students with enough legos to build with as a group, we will be able to begin our stop motion animation movie projects.
The label maker will enable us to organize our lego area and keep the space maintained neatly so that the maximum number of students can enjoy it with the minimal amount of clean up. All students love using the lego area now so I am sure these new supplies will elevate it even further!
