My students need these Simple Machine LEGO Kits to get started on their first PBL of the year. Each third grader will create a three-wheeler to move a load the longest distance!

Hooray! This project is fully funded
My students are fantastic. I have been in the classroom for many years, and have thoroughly enjoyed the change I have seen in my students over the past many years. My students love hands-on learning, they are great at working together, and they love technology. I am so excited to get them these LEGOS in the classroom and give them the opportunity to learn by doing, and to learn something that is so abstract more concretely. I am excited to meet my new class in the fall.
I am so excited about this learning opportunity for my students. This abstract concept will become concrete for my kiddos. My students will work collaboratively to design and plan a freewheeler to carry a load using the instructions from the LEGO kits. They will present their freewheelers for the class using 30 Hands. I find that whenever I incorporate hands-on learning with such an abstract concept like this, my students not only get the learning, but it's so memorable for them. The LEGO kits will give that extra boost that my science lesson wouldn't otherwise have the opportunity to.
