The students that I have the privilege to teach are amazing! They are thinkers, creators, innovators, and problem solvers. These students are tomorrow's leaders, and it is critical that they are given experiences and are exposed to new technologies, so that they can practice their STEM skills.
They are curious and are always eager to learn and try new things.
Students come from very diverse backgrounds, but all have hearts of gold. Our school is rural with moderate to high poverty. The concept of family and working together are big themes in my classroom. Students are constantly put in situations that require getting along with and working together to solve problems.
My students love coding and robotics! As future engineers, scientists, mathematicians and computer programmers, my students love anything that has to do with STEM education.
The STEM Lego WeDo kits will give my students the opportunity to work together and problem solve.
Lego WeDo kits are specifically designed to support a student who is new to robotics. Having these kits will greatly enhance our after-school robotics program to give students an opportunity to build, code and learn robotics. Through our program, we are not only giving students experiences with robotics, but teaching them life lessons and skills that will stay with them for the rest of their lives.
