My Students

My students are amazing, one-of-a-kind thinkers that are constantly looking for new ways to absorb information and share their knowledge with others. Our time at school is spent diving deep into new concepts, exploring a wide range of skills before mastery and applying these new abilities to real-world problems and scenarios.

We are a STEM school that emphasizes critical thinking, engineering, thought processes, and we are always striving to improve.

Students are encouraged to think outside the box, create while they learn and above all, explain their thinking to others.

My Project

Each year, my students work in teams to complete the engineer design process in Jr. First Lego League and create a unique solution to solve a problem in the world. Last year, Mission Moon had them imagining life in out-of-this-world scenarios and this year's Boomtown Build promises to be just as impactful.

These LEGO kits will provide an essential missing piece to our building process, giving students updated We-Do programs to improve their knowledge of programming, increased building and designing opportunities with Core components, and real-world applications they can take into their careers and daily lives later on.

Our challenge this year is to create an architecturally sound building for a growing community that is environmentally friendly, visually appealing, durable, and useful to all members of a community. Without these kits, students miss out on incredibly beneficial learning opportunities and are not able to complete all components of the Jr. FLL challenge.
