My Students
As a school with high levels of poverty it is important to level the playing field so that all students are given the same chances to excel and shine. I want to provide all of my students an opportunity to collaborate and investigate with the use of technology.
My students love working as a team to solve problems.
I want to create an environment that fosters that collaboration and communication. One that encourages chance taking and lesson learning when things don't go as they had planned.
My Project
I want to create an opportunity for my students to be comfortable to fail, because if they fail it means they have tried. They can take what they have learned and apply it again with another approach. Having the chance to tinker and play with Legos lets my students expand their growth mindset.
Legos are an excellent way for students to work together and collaborate while thinking critically about a challenge of engineering and building.
Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics are what I want to teach my students to better prepare them for their futures outside the classroom no matter where their future takes them.
