As the Library Media Specialist, I often find students coming into our Media Space to find relief and relaxation from their busy schedules. In our Media Center we advocate for student growth, leadership, mentor-ship, collaboration, respect and most of all fun. Our school is located in a community that is extremely close-knit and at times lacks the necessary funding it so truly deserves. Students in Naugatuck work very hard to pursue their dreams and we want to advocate for the Media Centers greatness and uphold it as the heart of the school.
We firmly believe that education is the foundation from which we build success.
Our space is open for all students and we would love to build a more inviting and welcoming space to provide an environment where students can build upon their creativity and flourish in a unique space. Students enjoy coming to our space because of the positive climate we have instilled and we want to provide the highest level of support for our students that visit the NHS Media Center
My Project
Hello! I would love to be able to purchase the following items for our schools Media Center. We love to give our students the opportunity to build and create. I was recently at a school and they had an amazing wall of Legos and I would love to try and build a Lego wall here at NHS. I think it would be a really fun and creative way for students to build and design a Lego wall. I truly believe that students need to take a break from school work throughout the day and stimulate their brains in other ways. By having a Lego wall it could really help with social and emotional learning demands put on our students. I would also like to purchase a few additional supplies for our craft center. Our supplies get used frequently by students and some things need to be replenished
