My Students

I teach in a rural, high poverty community. I am lucky to have twenty-seven little first and second graders in my class this year that are eager to learn and excited for adventure. They come to school every day ready to see what exciting adventure we will be taking in their learning.

Many students are faced with obstacles in their home lives, but they leave those at the door and enter into a world of fun and learning, which I call my classroom.

I strive to guide each student to be excited to come to school every day.

My Project

I am always looking for new and creative ways to expand my students’ learning. I strongly believe that giving my students an outlet that offers them a chance to explore and have a hands on experience will be very beneficial to their educational journey. The Lego sets will offer this challenge to my students.

My students need the opportunity to try different methods and this would be a perfect chance.

I believe the students would be very engaged and have a strong desire to learn this way. They will be able to use the Legos to build different parts of a story, to create STEAM projects and to explore with science. Legos are a great way to add excitement. I am excited to see how they are able to display their learning.
