My Students

My students come to me on a daily basis with smiles on their faces and enthusiasm in their voices. They make it easy to love my job! Our school is Title I, and we have an awesome support system of parents, teachers, and administrators. We all have one goal in mind; we want our students to succeed.

I'm working to build our student interest in STEM jobs with a robotics club.

My students' success and future is extremely important to me, and your support helps me reach it every year!

My Project

The materials I'm requesting are going to be used with my after school robotics team. I'm trying to build a love for STEM within my school and one way to do that is give students an activity they can relate to. STEM jobs are the future and we need to get our students interested in those areas that are rapidly growing.

All kids love to play with LEGOs and using them to create a robot is even better!

These MINDSTORMS kits will allow students to use their creativity to build a robot and then use programming to make it move. We currently have two kits for our school to use with our team and are in need of more. My goal is to have enough kits to allow students to work in pairs, instead of groups of five or more.
