Ms. B. from MI is requesting a class trip through DonorsChoose, the most trusted classroom funding site for teachers.
My students need a trip to LEGO LAND to enhance their STEM SKILLS with their Parent's.
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My students reside in a low income poverty stricken neighborhood where their families face many challenges daily. For many of them, my class is their first experience in school and I want to expose them to learning in a clean classroom environment. They are low-income students, who come from one parent families. Some do not have a high school diploma and at times, do not have the time to assist their child daily.
I want to take my students to LEGO LAND to connect their STEM skills!
My students are kind, lovable and very special because they are excited about learning new things. They love to participate in small groups which consists of language arts, fine and gross motor, cognitive, social/emotional, adaptive and moral developmental activities.
My students enjoy and love playing with LEGO'S daily. It wasn't until recently that we build our LEGO center in our classroom. We were blessed due to various LEGO donations through Donors choose. Every day, my students are building and using their creativity to explore, learn, manipulate, build, invent, investigate and make incredible sculpture's with their Lego's.
LEGO'S allow my students to enhance their STEM SKILLS as they come alive with new inventions as they utilize the LEGO'S.
The field trip to LEGO LAND will allow my students to bond with their parents as they build together, interact and engage with others using Lego's while enhancing their STEM SKILLS.
This trip to LEGO LAND would bring their vision to LIFE as they participate in a concrete learning STEM activity with their parent's.
