My Students

Our students are special because we can speak 23 different languages from Spanish to Burmese. We are very unique and we sometimes have trouble focusing. It is better to keep students moving in order to learn the best way we can! We appreciate you giving us these new experiences.

Our school has 100% free or reduced-price lunch population.

My Project

My students, unfortunately, come unprepared to school every day. Most days they come without a backpack or the appropriate shoes. This makes teaching math so challenging. With their outside world such a whirlwind, it's hard for them to focus.

We would use LEGOs for more hands-on learning opportunities.

We also use them for math games. LEGOs make it easier for students to change mistakes and keep working without getting frustrated.

These classroom supplies will make learning for them a little more fun and ultimately realistic. These children are always so happy for anything that is given to them. I know when the students feel that they can be prepared for class, they will be more confident in what they are going to learn. Thank you for making this happen!
