We have identified elementary and junior high students interested in robotics. They will benefit from working with our career and technical education campus students to build robots and learn engineering design and problem solving techniques.
Our students will come from different schools in our district and it is a joy to see them work together, especially when they may not know each other before joining the team.
Their interest in robotics may lead them to engineering degrees and/or technical certifications, but all will be problem solvers.
My Project
Our students will gain a competitive experience in the FIRST Lego League (FLL).
You provide the LEGO Mindstorms EV3 core and expansion set and we will supply a diverse set of youth mentors from our varsity FRC teams.
We will focus on Gracious Professionalism and “Coopertition” through the FIRST Core Values of Discovery, Innovation, Impact, Inclusion, Teamwork and Fun.
Older students will learn from helping others and younger students will be introduced to engineering design and problem solving. In the future they will then give back to the next generation FLL team while competing at the next level on the FRC team.
