Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
We are an inner city and have brought in students from puerto rico after the big natural disaster. Students enjoy playing with my measuring tapes and screw drivers in the shop and engineering class but I'd like to ensure students are getting what they need.
I want to make my classroom all encompasing, addressing socioemotional needs as well as academic motivations to pique their curiosities.
We need help with resources including tangible and meaningful experiences to build on in my foundational classes. THANK YOU.
My Project
Students need quality projects to work with. Our program is just developing with 2 new tech ed teachers. Students are excited to finally have tech ed teachers. However, there is only so much we can do with cardboard. Finds are almost non existant. Plus we have more students from the Puerto Rico disaster.
These lego mindstorm kits have the power to exemplify, for students from diverse backgrounds to find common ground.
We have fights in our middle school. We need a different way to empower socioemotional growth. Let them lego robot fight, learn how to be a team player, these lego kits are priceless resources for our department we desperately need. PLEASE CONSIDER AND HELP OUR CAUSE. Thank you very much.
