My students come to class every day excited about the next video project we are going to tackle. Most students are consumers of video but my students want to be creators of video! I have a balanced mix of male and female students that range from sophomores to seniors in my video classes. Students get hands-on experience with a camera and software and we even enter local contests to see how we stack up against bigger schools. Ask any of my students what they love about video class and they'll tell you, "It's a lot of fun", not only because we are always doing something different but because we are doing it together. My Advanced Video class is such a cohesive group and seeing them work together to make short stories is one of the most rewarding things for me. All students have stories they want to tell, some just don't always have to the tools to do it. In my class, we put it all together!
My Project
What we are requesting are 4 lights that just came out from Apurture! These lights are compact, multi color, and rechargeable which makes carrying cables with us non issue!
Proper lighting for interviews and talking head shots are essentially to video and my students could use some lights to enhance our video projects.
We shoot a lot of commercial, PSA's, promos, and short films in our classes and we often lack proper lighting. This type of addition will fit nicely with how we perform. Did I forget to mention that they are magnetic as well! We can just throw them on a tripod! Consider helping us!
January 23rd is a double day so wait until the right moment to help us out! Our class will also be putting funds in for this as well!
