Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

I teach 7-8 year olds that are eager to explore and learn about the world around them. They inspire to be better citizens and to be prepared for the 21st century. In the class, my students focus on their reading, writing, and math skills. They love working in small groups and being engaged in hands-on activities. The students also love working with technology and creating many things. I am amazed every day at what they can accomplish. They are future mathematicians and inventors.

My Project

By having headphones in the classroom, it will allow my students to work independently. They will be able to work without interrupting others. Students will be able to have stories and math problems read to them. In different programs they can work on thier phonics and blending skills. The headphones will even help the students become more focused into the program they are assigned to. The students will be able to create many different things while wearing the headphones to ensure distractions are minimum. These headphones be used daily in their centers, as well as, in the schools computer lab.
