My Students

I teach 25 wonderful third graders who are excited about learning through project based learning and passion projects. I teach an Accelerated Learning Model GATE class where students are self motivated and guide their learning through personal interests and passions. We are at a STEAM school where technology is very important and a big part of their everyday learning! We also use technology for Reading, Writing and Math. Students will complete Reading Plus, ST Math and Accelerared Reader on these devices. Students also learn to type and present in different formats.

My Project

Technology is an important part of 21st century learning. My students will use these Chromebooks and optical mice to research their interests and present their findings through a passion project. Students can research, record and type their information followed by presenting through PowerPoint, Prezi, and interactive websites or posters. As technology is always changing we are looking for newer, updated resources to be utilized in the classroom. Chromebooks are a great tool for students to use to research and learn new materials. They are necessary in the educational learning for our STEAM school with a strong emphasis on Science and Technology. These skills are an important part of lifelong learning.
