My Students

Our school is a Title I school in Oklahoma. Most children are from low income families. My students enter the classroom excited and eager to learn everyday! My students are very active and enjoy hands-on learning experiences. The students have a real thirst for knowledge. They enjoy showing off their newly learned skills to each other and other adults in our building. They support each other, help one another and care for each other deeply. I love my little family of learners!

My Project

We need 2 iPad Minis and 2 Osmo Genius Kits. The Osmo kit is a groundbreaking system that helps to foster creative and critical thinking skills. The Osmo kit is used with an iPad. The Osmo transforms the area in front of the tablet into an interactive environment. The students will be able to use physical objects (such as tangram pieces, letter tiles, etc...) in the area in front of the tablet to create pictures using shapes, spell words, and even draw. My students will be able to use the iPad and Osmo independently providing an engaging learning experience while I am conducting small group instruction. With this technology they will be able to learn and practice reading and math skills all while using critical thinking skills!
