"THE FUTURE OF THE WORLD IS IN MY CLASSROOM TODAY" Ivan Welton Fitzwater. The students who are in front of me today are our future leaders of tomorrow. I want to empower my students and prepare them to be future leaders.
My students are curious, creative, and inspiring four and five year olds that come from diverse backgrounds.
Many of my students are English Language Learners, have socio-economic hardships, and have experienced trauma. I want my students to reach their full potential throughout the school year. My students learn in multiple ways and I want to meet each of their individual needs. As an educator, I need to meet their individual needs. I want my Kindergarten students to be excited and motivated to come to school each and every day.
My Project
My students are growing up in a time where technology is everywhere. Our school is 100 years old and the technology available is not up to date. With a set of IPads my Kindergarten students will have an alternative learning method to access the curriculum.
My students are preparing for high school, college and future careers.
Having these iPads in my classroom will give my students an opportunity to access materials that they may not be able to. My students are early readers and need materials read to them. My students are curious learners and technology would engage them and give them the opportunity to be independent learners. At this age children need to visually see how problems are solved step by step. My students will have the opportunity to access the technology component of our new math program Envisions. They will also have access to use Headsprout a reading program that develops early reading skills to develop fluency, comprehension, and phonics. These iPads will also be beneficial during science. My students will be able to record there development of projects and share pictures with their families.
Having iPads in the classroom will allow all of my students to experience a technology rich environment. They will be able to relate with the world. My students deserve the opportunity to be prepared for future. Please help my students reach their full potential.
