My students are eager to learn! My classroom is filled with bright-eyed five and six year old students who are motivated by activity, team building, and technology.
I have about 23 kindergarten students who are very energetic and LOVE to interact.
They thrive off the attention of sharing their ideas and showing others how well they can read, spell, and do math. Their eyes light up when they are able to work with technology and utilize the different apps to learn. At home several of my students come from low-income homes or households where both parents work often. In fact, over 50% of our students are on free or reduced lunches, and our school offers free breakfast to each student. I feel blessed to guide these students as they walk into my classroom with a willingness to learn every day!
My Project
Children LOVE technology! Research shows us how much interaction and engagement students receive while on an iPad. The technology today allows students to receive extra practice on what they are learning in reading, writing, AND math!
Technology time is our favorite time of the day!
Students get on the computers to learn math and reading in a fun, exciting way. Unfortunately, our Chromebooks can be difficult for some students to navigate. These iPads would allow students to work more successfully without having to worry about how to drag a mouse or click a button. Our main goal is to grow our reading and writing skills without the worry of "how to work the computer." In reading, students will explore phonics and books in a whole new way, and in math, students can increase their number sense with enriching activities.
