My students need two iPads with cases to allow them access to technology which will assist with developing reading and math skills.

My Students

First graders are eager learners and I am always looking for new ways to motivate their learning. An iPad is an excellent way to reinforce the concepts I am teaching in reading and math while students think they are "playing a game".

The majority of my students come from poverty-stricken homes where the parents are doing the best they can to make ends meet.

Some may not even have a computer or tablet in their home. These students enjoy coming to school to learn and especially enjoy any chance they have to use technology they may not have access to at home.

My Project

Students will use the iPads during their reading and math small group rotations to reinforce the concepts we are learning during whole group instruction. I will also be able to connect the iPad to our SmartBoard during whole group instruction to better engage all the students in the classroom.

Technology is becoming a vital part in how we educate students.

Students are more eager to learn when you place a piece of technology in front of them instead of just handing them a paper and pencil assignment.
