IT IS MY TURN! or THEY USED THE i-PAD YESTERDAY! It becomes challenging at some points in the week to make sure everyone has a chance to work on the i-Pad. Everyone is excited about the math and reading apps that are available. Even my reluctant readers are asking to use the Kindle app to read books. I want that excitement and enthusiasm to continue. Will you help us obtain another i-Pad?
My classroom is made up of 22 second graders at our public Montessori school.
There is a variety of socio-economic backgrounds among the group ranging from well-off two parent homes to low-income single parent homes. Some of our students are at a disadvantage when doing homework and other projects because they do not have access to technology at home.
My students would benefit from having an iPad in the classroom because the different educational applications will engage them and deepen their understanding of math and reading concepts. This will help level the playing field and open doors for the students who do not have access to technology at home. The reading applications will increase fluency and comprehension and the math applications will increase number sense and math fact automaticity.
With your help, my students will be able to explore the world of technology with this iPad and case.
