This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Teaching 27 first graders is very rewarding. It is an age of growth, making new friends, and showing excitement for learning. Their enthusiasm for learning is contagious. I love coming to school and watching my students getting ready and excited to learn. My students enjoy coming to school and they create a fun and happy environment in which the students don't only learn from me, but from each other.

The best part of teaching is watching their personal and academic growth over time.

I love the spark that my first graders make when they master a new skill or learn something new.

My Project

My class has one-to-one iPads. My students can use these tools to help further their learning in coding and reading.

The Osmo kit will help the students learn to spell and read in an interactive method.

During guided reading, my students are in small groups. The Osmo Kit would be great for my students to be able to work with their classmates to advance in their reading and spelling.

The Wonders Kit will allow my students to further their skills in coding. Since my students have their own iPad, they will be able to work with a partner to better understand coding, while using the robot to motivate them more.
