I'm beginning a new school year with a wonderful group of first graders that are excited to start the year! Our school is in a high performing district because the parents, students, teachers, and community are fully vested in the education of our children.
In our first grade classroom, we love to learn about many things, but most importantly we enjoy learning and growing together!
My students, like so many children, come to school eager and ready to design, build, read, write and solve problems. I want to provide as many enriching experiences as possible to fuel their passion and curiosity for learning!
Every year my students love Scholastic News. They not only learn about the world around them, but they also learn about nonfiction text features, science concepts, current events, historical facts, social-emotional skills, and so much more. Plus, Scholastic offers the content online with engaging videos and standards-based learning games. Students can then access their magazines at home as well as school.
Scholastic News provides so many great learning opportunities!
Although we have been fortunate to have this in years past, our subscription ran out in May and is not being renewed for this school year. I do not want to go without this amazing resource. Please help our class this year experience this fantastic resource.
