This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Project
Each item will provide my students the opportunity to experience hands-on science experiments that allows them to practice their analytical, reasoning and problem-solving skills!
Science experiments also provide young children the opportunity to develop and practice skills such as communication, collaboration, and team working skills!
Students will learn about plant structure and the process of photosynthesis. Learning about the photosynthesis is important because it is the primary source of oxygen and source of energy for many organisms. The aquarium will be used to help students learn about different aquatic species and the ecosystem that they live in. The pots will be used to plant flowers and vegetables. Through these experiments students will witness with their own eyes how plants produce their own food using light, water and carbon dioxide.
The race car track will help children learn about potential and kinetic energy. The flowerpots and soil will be used to help students learn about photosynthesis. The race car track will help students learn about potential and kinetic energy. The tennis balls will be used to help student learn about force and gravity. The Earth-Sun model will help students learn about Earth's rotation and revolution! The mini flashlights will be used with globes to mimic Earth's rotation and revolution.
These hands-on experiments will introduce new ideas and will help clarify challenging aspects of the topics we cover! We thank you in advance for the support of our classroom! Thank you very much!
