My students need Kindle Fire tablets with kid-proof cases for interacting with educational software and ebooks.

I work in a Title I school with more than half of our students living in poverty and many struggling readers. My students are faced with several challenges both in and out of the classroom. Despite the many challenges they face, I am looking to provide my students with creative, meaningful, motivating learning experiences.
My students are enthusiastic and love school, but many are far below grade level.
They love to move, discover new books and engage in authentic learning experiences. By teaching them in enthusiastic, creative, positive, and authentic ways, I believe I will encourage and inspire even our youngest learners to continue on a path of success.
From the minute they walk in the door of my classroom I focus on their potential and growth while they are with me. I may not be able to control their home lives, however, I CAN control their experience during the school day. The more they read books and practice skills enthusiastically the faster their abilities will grow!
My students need Kindle Fire tablets for reading ebooks and interacting with educational software. My classroom currently has some tablets, but not enough for a one-to-one ratio. I would love to get to a one-to-one ratio so that the tablets can be used more actively and throughout the day.
My school pays for a few high-quality educational software programs, but it is difficult to let all students have access to the software with a limited number of devices.
My goal is to acquire more devices, a few at a time, until I have enough devices for all students to be able to interact effectively with educational software. I would like to also expand the use of the devices beyond the educational software. We can use the camera to go on scavenger hunts. We can use the camera to document our learning. We can use the video camera to summarize our learning.
