Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
We are a STEM-based charter school in Naples, Florida with 74% free or reduced-price lunches. The families we serve really want what is best for their kids and trust me as their teacher to help make those decisions. The students in my classroom are very loving and caring individuals.

My students are passionate, eccentric, beautiful, intelligent, and all-around amazing. When you look into their eyes, you know that they are eager to consume knowledge. These students appreciate each and every day that they spend in the classroom because they know that they are going to use their minds in the most creative and innovative ways possible.
My Project
Through the years, I learned many amazing things to help my students succeed. Engagement was always on the top of the list and connected to student success.

Some of those tools they mentioned were these simple microphones that encourage students to answer questions and to make presentations. These microphones can also be used to add music into the classroom via songs that can be rewritten to go along with the curriculum. The power cords will be used to charge these microphones at our charging station in the classroom.
Other methods of engagement include games which make learning fun. The ones I choose for this project are math games that are at the next grade level above my students to encourage and challenge my higher students in my classrooms to apply the skills they have learned in class and to have fun doing it.
When students have fun learning they retain more of the information then when they would when they are not engaged. Please help me help my students to be fully engaged in my classroom through this project
