Learning With Dry Erase Boards

My Students

Kindergarten is such a learning year for the children. Every child walks in the classroom ready to learn but all at different levels. The children start the school year with having to learn school procedures and expectations along with learning the basics to be able to read and add and subtract by the end of the school year.

My classroom of 20 amazing students consist of 11 boys and 9 girls.

I have a wide range of needs in my classroom that need different ways of learning information. I have 3 special education students, 3 speech and language and other variety of needs within the classroom.

My Project

Our classroom is in need of dry erase lap white boards that are blank on one side and has lines to practice letter formation on the other. The students need a lot of writing practice in kindergarten. Learning how to form letters correctly with the colored lines and then moving onto words, will then help students in writing on paper. We also use the white boards in math to solve math word problems. Students can draw pictures and write math equations to solve the problems. Students would be using the white boards in multiple areas of the curriculum to enhance their learning.
