Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My 1st grade students in Clewiston, FL are curious, creative, and very high energy! I may be bias but I have absolutely the best students ever. They love to find spaces in the classroom where they can snuggle up with a book, use clipboards to write in their journals or take over the carpet playing a "game" with a friend while also learning.

We are from a small, rural town in South Florida in a very family oriented community.

My "classroom kids" simply become "my kids".

My Project

The lap tables will allow my students to take their laptops anywhere with them around the room, to have flexible seating, and to be able to work in groups. Students can get comfortable anywhere in the room and focus on their learning.

The literature organizer will become "mailboxes" for the students to turn work in and receive graded papers back.

This helps keep student papers organized.

Chair pockets will also be a great addition to the students chairs. They will be able to put their binders and folders in a pouch attached to their chairs so they are within reach at all times.
